Can not install (version 5) "Cannot Start Application"

    I'm trying to install version 5. I am able to download setup.exe and trying to run it as Administrator. It starts, looks like it's downloading, and consistently fails during this process. The error dialog title is Cannot Start Application, and then the detail says Application installation did not succeed. Cannot locate application files on the server. Contact the application vendor...

    Hi Brian,

    Please can you suggest your setup? Do you see a new menu in Excel? Please let me know the current status so we can sort this out.

    I have exact same issue.  No new menu in Excel. I have tried numerous times...

    I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and IE 11.

    Hi Mark,

    Please can you go to File>>Options>> Addins>> COM Addins  and see if you have MarketXLS disabled there? If yes please can you enable it? Also, see if you have MarketXLS function categories available in Excel's function Browser? Did you install the software as an administrator?

    MarketXLS does not appear in the COM Addins.

    Also, I get this message after running as administrator downloading 168 MB.  I have tried several attempts at downloading and running the setup file.

    I have read all the forum and tried all the suggestions.

    I find this forum cumbersome.  Please reply to my email markmaidman@hotmail.com.

    Ankur,

    The value of the time and effort I have spent logging into this forum and waiting to get a working product exceeds the purchase price of the software.

    I would like a full refund.  How long before the credit be issued to my credit card?
