Price-Free Cash Flow Ratio (Historical)

Returns the ratio of stock price to free cash flow per share. Free cash flow is operating cash flow minus capital expenditures, representing cash available to shareholders.

Formula

P/FCF = Stock Price / (Free Cash Flow / Shares Outstanding) Free Cash Flow = Operating Cash Flow - Capital Expenditures

Notes

  • More stringent than P/CF (accounts for capex)
  • Lower values may indicate better value
  • Negative FCF makes ratio meaningless
  • Popular with value investors
