Returns the quits rate for nonfarm employees from FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data). This measures voluntary separations initiated by employees.

Data is sourced from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS), published monthly.

Notes

  • Higher quits rate generally indicates a strong labor market (employees confident in finding new jobs)
  • No parameters required - returns the most recent value
