MarketXLS for Excel Online

Use MarketXLS directly in your browser with Excel Online, or sideload it into Excel Desktop. Download the manifest file below and follow the instructions to get started.

This XML manifest file is required to sideload MarketXLS into Excel.

Click the download button above to save the MarketXLS-ExcelOnline-Manifest.xml file to your computer. Remember where you saved it — you will need to upload it in a later step.
2Open Excel (Online or Desktop)
Excel Online: Go to office.com/launch/excel and open any workbook.
Excel Desktop (Windows/Mac): Open Excel on your computer.
3Open the Add-ins Dialog
Excel Online:
  1. Click Home tab in the ribbon.
  2. Click Add-ins (you may see it under the "..." overflow menu).
  3. Click More Add-ins at the bottom.
Excel Desktop:
  1. Click Insert tab in the ribbon.
  2. Click My Add-ins (or Get Add-ins > My Add-ins).
4Upload the Manifest
  1. In the Add-ins dialog, click Upload My Add-in (or MY ADD-INS tab, then Upload My Add-in).
  2. Click Browse and select the MarketXLS-ExcelOnline-Manifest.xml file you downloaded.
  3. Click Upload.
5Launch MarketXLS
After uploading, you should see a MarketXLS (Web) tab appear in the ribbon. Click Launch MarketXLS to open the task pane and start using real-time stock data, custom functions, and financial analytics right in your spreadsheet.
Important Notes
  • Sideloaded add-ins are specific to your account and the browser/device you use. You may need to repeat this process on other devices.
  • If you are using a work or school Microsoft 365 account, your IT administrator may need to enable sideloading. Contact your admin if the "Upload My Add-in" option is not visible.
  • The add-in requires an active MarketXLS subscription. Log in with your MarketXLS credentials after launching.
