Install MarketXLS on Windows | MarketXLS documentation

The Windows desktop add-in adds a MarketXLS tab to the Excel ribbon. Close Excel before you run the installer so that it can register the add-in correctly.

Before you begin

Make sure that you have:

Desktop Excel on Windows
Permission to install software on the computer
Your MarketXLS welcome email or access to the MarketXLS software page
Your MarketXLS license key

Install the add-in

Close every open Excel window.
Download the current Windows installer from your MarketXLS welcome email or the MarketXLS software page.
Open the downloaded installer.
If Windows asks whether to allow changes, review the publisher information and select Yes.
Follow the instructions in the installer.
Open desktop Excel.
Confirm that the MarketXLS tab appears in the ribbon.

Capture the current Windows installer welcome screen before installation starts.

Close Excel before you continue through the MarketXLS installer.

The ribbon might take a few seconds to appear the first time that you open Excel.

Confirm the installation

Open a blank workbook.
Select the MarketXLS tab.
Find Settings/Help on the ribbon.

A visible MarketXLS ribbon confirms that Excel loaded the desktop add-in.

If the tab doesn't appear, restore a missing MarketXLS ribbon.

Already have MarketXLS installed? Follow Update MarketXLS on Windows instead of leaving Excel open and running a new installer over the active add-in.
