Restore a missing MarketXLS ribbon
Re-enable the MarketXLS COM add-in when its Windows ribbon tab disappears.
Excel can disable a COM add-in after an update, a slow startup, or an unexpected shutdown. Check the normal add-in list first, and then check disabled items.
Check COM add-ins
- In Excel, select File > Options > Add-ins.
- At the bottom of the window, select COM Add-ins from Manage.
- Select Go.
- Select the checkbox for MarketXLS.
- Select OK.
- Close Excel, and then open it again.
Capture the COM Add-ins dialog with MarketXLS selected and unrelated add-ins hidden.

If the MarketXLS tab returns, enter a test formula before you reopen a large workbook.
Check disabled items
- In Excel, select File > Options > Add-ins.
- At the bottom of the window, select Disabled Items from Manage.
- Select Go.
- If MarketXLS appears, select it and then select Enable.
- Close Excel, and then open it again.
Capture the Disabled Items or add-in management screen showing where to restore MarketXLS.

Reinstall the add-in
If MarketXLS doesn't appear in either list:
- Close Excel.
- Uninstall MarketXLS from Windows Installed apps or Programs and Features.
- Restart Windows.
- Install the current Windows add-in.
Avoid weakening Excel Trust Center settings as a general fix. If an organization manages your Office security policy, ask its IT administrator to review the add-in instead.
Capture the full MarketXLS ribbon in a clean Windows workbook.
